so I said...

I can't believe I missed three days of class this week...it is just bad...three days in culinary school might as well be two weeks...I was actually sick enough that my doctor told me to stay home...damn it.
Haven't been that sick in years, really, years...but I'm better now, and I must work my ass off for the rest of the term to even pull a decent grade...

I love days when...

I really have absolutely nothing to do, so I decide to go hiking. I love the San Gabriel mountains... they are so beautiful.
So I go on this hike, which starts out kind of boring, and freaking hot, but about 1.5 miles in you come upon this beautiful stream, flowing beautifully down the moutain. Which makes the first part of the hike completely worth it. Then I hike up the stream, coming upon little waterfalls, pools, and just the beauty of our world..

A sad day..

It is a sad day when a perfectly awesome human being is killed by trigger happy cops. This post is dedicated to one of these, one Jake Faust. Lindy Hopper, Musician, Artist, all around good guy, and he was only 24.

So Marcelo threw an amazing b-day party for himself last night...with some guests from way out east, who also had b-days...good times...Audra outdid herself with decor, Marcelo made some really intresting limon....I can't remember what it was called...but it was really sweet, and high in alcohol content.

An end...

So my last day of baking finals were today...thank God, tomorrow all we do is clean the lab, and receive our grades. I have realized I really like to bake, just not in class...but then again doing almost anything and getting payed for it is different than paying to do it. Going dancing now...

I have way too many decisions to make...

within the next six months, well more likely four, I have to decide basically where I want to live. I need to figure out where I am going to do my externship for school, if I want to continue with my schooling, or if I want to go to Iraq for a while. I just found out I have an opportunity to be a chef there for 10k a month. I am stressing out a little bit, which is a big deal, because I do not stress over anything...grr...I hope I dont' pop...
So finals for my baking and pastries class are this week, and all in all, I am very happy with them. We aren't presenting anything until Thursday, and I am basically done prepping everything, all I have to do tomorrow is bake a cake, and make some cookies...then all the icing and stuff on Thursday morning....and all this on only 1.5 hours of sleep last night...I am going to bed early tonight...

hmm, the future may be a bit different...

So I go on my schools student portal, and they have this bulletin. So it turns out one of our other schools, specifically the one in Scottsdale, AZ, is now offering a BA in Hospitality and Restaurant Management. So I think to myself, I am considering moving to AZ after I am done with school anyway, why not move there and get another degree...? Considering all this, I think it would be a good idea. I am calling them today, and seeing if it would be worth it...
