who would've thought bad blueberry pancakes would taste so good...?

But after an entire night of dancing and smoking, they tasted damn fine.
So basically my roommate invites me to go to this party a friend of his is throwing, it's a Saturday night and I have absolutely nothing to do, so I go. Next thing I know we are in the middle of downtown L.A., basically on skid row, or whatever they call it now. Now I find out it is actually a birthday party for this friend, and there is a cover charge of 10bucks, and of course I have no cash on me. But the girl at the door explains to us that it is 10per if we park on the street, but the garage is only 15 per car, so the third guy in the car(Carlos) is like the only one with any cash, so he covers all of us...thank God for parking garages, safe, secure, and you don't have to worry about shit being with messed with. It's about 945 or so, and we are walking back to the party, with our oh so fashionable yellow wrist bands, and it turns out we are like the first ones there...fun stuff. So basically we stand around and chit chat with the bartender, can't remember his name, and listen to whoever is djing at the time. The cover charge was to cover the cost of the djs.

It was weird, basically it was at this building that had been sold to some company who was going to gut it out and remodel the whole thing, but they had to wait until everyone's lease's were up. and Steven's lease, my roommates friend, was the last one, so the best thing is he was the only one living in the building, and we didnt have to worry about noise complaints. There was a room on the fourth floor for movie viewing, and other such activities, or just a quite place form the very loud techno/trance, etc...music coming from the second floor, and the roof was accessable, which had this amazing garden, and greenhouse. We were just hanging out talking on the 4th, Steven, Jeff(roommate)and Nomi,(some girl), and somehow I get roped into working the door for a while, which ended up being like an hour at least. The best thing was they hired some homeless guy to be a bouncer, great guy, reminded me of a former roommate. So I basically worked the door from like 1030 until 12 or something. During that time the bulk of the people came, all in all there were at least 150 people there.

This was one of the most interesting nights I have had a while...must do it again soon...
