Run run run

Mmm, good music...
ok so my chef, Chef Ochi, has a prosthetic ear, his left one, it is kind of weird, and when I was in my first class at teh school he came in to show us how to do tournes.(fucking tournes)anyway, he is so good at them he can do them behind his back...impressive as hell...anyway, so he took his ear off, just to show us, it was interesting...
so now I have him as my chef (international cuisine), and he finally tells us how it happened...interesting story...so a few years ago, he had an SUV, which had a killer sound system, like 3 12"subs in the rear, etc,and the only place to put the third( yes third) amp was on the side of one of the sub boxes. anyway, he got in this car accident, and that third amp ended up wedged in his windshield, almost cutting his ear completely off in the process as it flew forward, so basically they didn't get to it in time, and were not able to sew it back on...hence the prosthetic ear...
ok now back to whatever you were doing

I left my heart in Seattle...

So once again I have fallen in love with the great city of Seattle Washington...
I guess I had a weekend that could be described as "Lindy Hop Heaven."
Great dancers from all around the world, amazing music, and an awesome city.
The highlight of the weekend happened at about 1:30 am monday morning, Sean Morris, Jeremy Ott, Jeun, and Kevin just start jammin'.
This is when jazz is really jazz...an artform that is at its' best when it is live, and raw. With the musicians just playing off of eachother, no sheet music, no plans, just jazz...

Also a great BBQ, well grilling, with Martin, Reuven, Jessica, Tahnh, Jacob, Lily, and a few others on teh roof top of Reuven's place. Some great fresh salmon bought just that afternoon, and of course every cook needs a beer, or six or seven...
Martin and I did the honors of knocking out the food, everyone enjoyed it, and that is all that matters...

Mmm, Canadians...
